Gaurang Ajit Karwande

Gaurang graduated with a Masters in Computer Engineering from the ECE Department in Spring 2023. His research interests are Computer Vision and Deep Learning with applications in healthcare and life sciences. His thesis is titled “Geometric Deep Learning for Healthcare Applications”, where his work focused on causal inference and structure learning using graph neural networks for disease progression and for gaining better insights into intensive care unit patient trends. Gaurang has interned as a Machine Learning Co-op at VideaHealth, Inc., Boston, MA, and will be returning full-time after graduation.
